First Day - September 1, 2024

It's GO time! Founding families met together for family onboarding. We had games, lots of information to share with the Heroes and their parents and of course - ribbon cutting ceremony!

An important part of the family onboarding event is the "crossing the threshhold" ceremony. Each Hero is offered the choice to leave the "ordinary world" cross the threshold and enter the unknown as they start on their Hero's Journey.

The first day was such an exciting part of starting their Hero's Journey (HJ). We talked about different aspects of the HJ and how each stage can be challenging to progress through. But the end result is always worth it - the Hero returns having been transformed and can help change their world for the better.

We introduced quite a few systems today that will serve us in the years to come: DEAR (Drop Everything And Read), Provisional Contract, Studio Maintenance, among many other things.
