Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you’ll make for your child. Our admissions process gives you time and space to understand Acton, ask honest questions, and decide if this is the right next step for your hero.
Is Alpha Acton Academy right for your family?
Acton is a great fit for families who are ready for something different. We partner with parents who want their children to grow as curious, self-motivated, and kind human beings—not just good test-takers.
Are naturally curious, love to ask “why?”, and want more ownership over their learning and daily choices.
Believe children are capable of more than worksheets and lectures, and are ready to support them in taking responsibility.
You’re primarily looking for traditional grading, heavy homework, or a highly structured, top-down environment.
How the admissions process works.
Our process is designed to help both your family and our studio community. Each step is intentional and gives us a chance to learn more about one another before making a commitment.
Start by reading our Parent Info Kit and exploring the website. When you’re ready, submit an inquiry or schedule a tour so we can learn more about your child and answer initial questions.
Timeframe: Anytime
Join us for a campus tour or info session. You’ll see the studios in action, meet a guide, and get a feel for the day-to-day culture at Alpha Acton Academy.
Timeframe: Scheduled on select days during the year
If we both sense a potential fit, we’ll invite your family to complete our audition process. This includes a learner visit for a day, parent questionnaire, and a conversation about goals, expectations, and next steps.
Timeframe: Typically within a few weeks of your visit, depending on space available.
After the audition, we’ll share a decision and, if admitted, send enrollment details, invitation for your child to shadow for a day (or two) and important dates to help your family transition smoothly into the studio.
Tuition, schedule, and logistics.
We’re committed to being transparent about the practical details that matter to your family—tuition, schedule, and what a typical day looks like.
Fees are per learner, per year.
10% Sibbling discount for each additional learner from the same family.

Share your school year calendar highlights and daily schedule: start/end times, breaks, and major sessions.
Example:
• Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–3:15 p.m.
• Seven sessions throughout the year with 1-2 week breaks in between.

Do you have to be advanced to attend Acton?
No. We welcome a wide range of learners. What matters most is a family’s alignment with our learner-driven philosophy and a child’s willingness to take responsibility over time.
Do you offer special education services?
We are not a therapeutic or special education program and cannot provide IEP or one-on-one support. We’re happy to discuss your child’s specific needs to see whether Acton is a fit.
When should we apply?
We accept inquiries year-round and enroll as space becomes available. We encourage families to begin the process several months before they hope to join.
Can we visit more than once?
In many cases, yes. We want you to feel confident in your decision. Additional visits can often be arranged after an initial tour.
